34 Things I've Learned in 34 Years of Life

We're always getting older and on a more personal note, here's what I've learned so far <3

I. Family first, hold them close and tightly.
2. Learn to show up for yourself, not someone else
3. Be kind
4. Life is too short to obsess over what other people think
5. Routine is good but variety is fun
6. There is always a positive and a lesson
7. We grow as we go through hard things
8. Balance in all things is essential
9. Less is more - less stuff has been a highlight of my 30’s so far
10. You should laugh or cackle DAILY
11. Your inner child never goes away - so take time to heal it
12. Slowing down makes everything more enjoyable
13. Simplify things that other people love to complicate
14. Your opinions can be different than someone else’s
15. Getting uncomfortable promotes growth
16. Less time on social media is always a good idea
17. Toxic people lead to toxic habits - cut them OUT, remember less is more
18. Train for mental and physical strength
19. You are in control of you, and no one else
20. Nature is soothing
21. And so are dogs, all the pets in my 30’s
22. If it’s not changing, change
23. Quality > quantity
24. Forgive and let go - holding grudges does nothing great
25. The joy of simplicity
26. Adaptability leads to resiliency - idk how it took til 33 to realize this
27. People prioritize what matters to them
28. Move your body in a way that feels good to you
29. Slow changes lead to sustainable changes
30. Never settle - personally or professionally
31. Smile even though it gives you wrinkles
32. Empathy goes a long way from friendships to professional life
33. Experiences >>> material goods
34. Your goals can change and that doesn’t mean you failed.
